clip board decor

decorate with clip boards and stay organized



very easy and inexpensive to create your own.







supplies:
clip board
screwdriver
paint (we used metallic)
any type of paint will do
spray mount
scrapbook paper with cut out design



use screw driver to remove clip



paint surface of board, we used sage green metallic paint



cut scrapbook paper to size of board,
spray adhesive (outdoors) to back of paper and
then apply to painted side of board.
put back on clip



group together with a matching board or other decorative items.

a favorite from 30A FL

one of our favorite vacation spots are the beaches of 30A .

besides relaxing at the beach, the next best thing are all the great shops located along 30A.



the workshop was my latest fun find, artist ginger leigh has a variety of
charming, whimsical artwork that would make a great gift or something to keep for yourself.

litte toes and feet

 when taking baby or family pictures, don't forget those little feet, whether at thebeach,backyard or taking pictures with a photographer.  they make great photographs alone or in a grouping.

tips for doing yourself~
take pictures in morning or late evening
get creative~ above we used a textured bright blanket
taking a lot of shots at different angles will give a variety, you can always delete the ones that don't work.

some camera's come with computer programs that will allow photo editing and fun tools,
but if you do not have access there are a
 variety that you can use online such as flickr, shutterfly, snapfish and more. 
they also have edit tools to crop, add borders,
black white and sepia options.





antique buffet redeaux

the buffet was turned into a changing table for a baby's room, but now that
the owner's kids are older she wanted to use in her lovely red dining room.



the completed look included hardware is a black faux finish, with antique gold.

collect your sea shells this summer when going to the beach
and make fun DIY projects like the cover this memory book/journal or would also look great framed.
crush up your sea shells and glue into fleur de lis shape layer with craft paper,
torn or straight edges are both great looks.

little feet art



this is an easy DIY gift that is perfect for father's day, or gift to grandparents!

you will need:
black art or construction paper (or color of your choice)
metallic gold, silver or bronze paint
paint brush
baby wipes
metallic pen
drawing paper - available at craft store
clear frame



brush paint on bottom of little feet and press onto black paper.
use baby wipe to clean.
cut into desired size and write your message on edges with metallic pen.
size art paper to clear frame and tear edges so that the edge of frame can be shown
once dry adhere footprints to the art paper

insert art paper in frame, hang on wall or put on a decorative easel...
dad will love it!!

in your hallway to create a gallery look.


display your favorite art, b/w or color photos
you do not need to be a pro to get great pictures
tips:
morning or afternoon is best light to get great outdoor shots
join snapfish, shutterfly or lakeside camera they have options
such as choosing color tones, border effects and
choice of glossy, matte or metallic paper for printing.




Use oversize matting in white or black to create a gallery look, 
The photos above are in a sepia tone and have an edge effect.

or to a frame shop in your area.



Instead of regular lighting use track lighting which showcases your art.

Antique Finished Cabinets

BEFORE

The homeowner wanted a fresh new look for their guest bathroom,

they loved the hardware and counter but felt the cabinets needed the update

BEFORE- MIRROR

And that incuded the mirror also.

AFTER

The white antique finish on the cabinets made the hardware standout

and now the counter top and backsplash go beautifully with the distressed white and gray

AFTER-MIRROR

To show the natural wood grain the mirror was a thin coat of teal metallic was applied
and details in darker umber and black in the ridges.

 everything together looks great!!!
